Shiver me timbers

I happen to know of an attorney who refused a court date yesterday, citing a "scheduling conflict." The conflict? Yesterday was Talk Like a Pirate Day. Laugh if you like, but I can't say I blame him. You try arguing a case while peppering your speech with strategic "aye"s, "matey"s and "yar"s. I think he made a wise, wise decision indeed. It's decisions like those that separate the senior partners from the soft-bellied associates.

Somewhat wise. But he could've just gone and cut off opposing counsel's head with a sword. You don't get that chance everyday, kb. Well, I don't. --g
